This is a design project for the CPEN 442 "Introduction to Computer Security" course at UBC.

Our project addresses the problem of Fraudulent Telephone calls. Fraudulent calls examples include Microsoft Tech Support Scams, CRA or IRS Scams, and more. These types of scams cost people billions of dollars every year.

Our solution, FraudBuster, is a module app that records a person's telephone calls, transcribes the phone call, and submits the transcript to a spam filtering API. If the spam API screens the transcript as spam, the call is most likely a scam. The user will notified whenever a scam call is detected.
